NEC today introduces the NEC VERSA S800 that will bring extreme portability with uncompromised power and easy communication to road warriors and executives who require performance and flexibility from anywhere and at anytime.

Extreme portability
With its thin and lightweight design (280x222x17mm and 1.14kg) and its generous display (12.1” XGA TFT LCD screen), the NEC Versa S800 is ideal for users on the road.

Uncompromised power
The NEC VERSA S800 is powered by an Ultra-Low-Voltage Mobile Intelв Pentiumв III Processor - M at 933 MHz, including Intelв SpeedStepв Technology, which automatically optimises application performance and power usage to deliver longer battery life (4 hours of autonomy and 8 hours with high capacity battery).
It features 256MB RAM and 20GB of storage.
It includes Microsoftв Windowsв XP Professional Edition and a complete suite of latest applications.

Easy communication
The NEC VERSA S800 benefits from an optimised connectivity with integrated Wireless LAN (802.11 a/b), internal Fast Ethernet and 56K modem, a VGA adapter for connecting with an external PC monitor as well as three USB 2.0 ports for external optical and media devices.

Availability
The NEC VERSA S800 will be available in March 2003 through the NEC website (www.nec-online.com) and its network of selected Value Added Resellers.
This NEC’s notebook is also available in Japan.
