KONTRAX is pleased to announce the successful completion and delivery of the first Bulgarian military reconnaissance drone – Teres-02 to the Land Forces of Bulgaria. The project is an important breakthrough in the national defense industry and a vivid example of the effective interaction between high-tech companies and academia in the country.
Cooperation between science and industry
The Teres-02 unmanned aerial vehicle is the result of a joint development of KONTRAX and TELESYS, in close partnership with the Technical University – Sofia, Plovdiv branch. The project manager from TELESYS is Dr. Stoyan Avramov – company manager and lecturer at the Department of Transport and Aviation Engineering and Technologies, who is working on the design and concept of the device.
Aerodynamic research, modeling and tests were carried out by a specialized team of the department, headed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hristian Panayotov, using modern methods for simulation, testing and evaluation of flight characteristics.
Technologies developed in Bulgaria
Teres-02 was created with the participation of Bulgarian engineers, scientists and specialists, using modern technologies and local resources. The device is intended for reconnaissance and surveillance missions, combining a stable construction, modular design and integration of intelligent sensors. The device is designed to meet the real operational needs of the Bulgarian army.
The project demonstrates the capabilities of Bulgarian companies and universities to create innovative and effective solutions in the field of security and defense - with strategic importance for both the country and the region.
