от 27/08/2003

Kontrax LTD., Kyocera Mita’s distributor in Bulgaria, has been rewarded for record sales over the last financial year.

Mr Tetsuo Okada, President of Kyocera Mita Europe, presented the certificate to Mr Jordan Jordanov of Kontrax during the annual Kyocera Mita distributor conference held in June 2003 in Marbella, Spain. Mr Koji Okamoto, General Manager of Kyocera Mita International Sales and Mr Katsumi Komaguchi Managing Director of Kyocera Mita Corporation, were also in attendance at the presentation.

The increase in unit sales totalled a huge 995%, from fiscal year 2002 to fiscal year 2003, which represents a turnover increase of 382%.

Not only have Kontrax’s sales improved, they have also achieved them through a number of important, high-profile contracts, which show Kyocera Mita’s products lead their industry for high quality results, efficiency and economy.

A number of large deals secured the award for Kontrax this year. The ‘Home Doctor Project’ ordered a total of 4,050 units from September 2002 to January 2003. 3,500 FS-1000+ desktop printers were installed during September to November 2002 and then 550 FS-1010 printer’s were installed in January 2003.

The ‘Ministry of Defence’ made a large order in October 2002 for 110 desktop FS-1010 printers and three colour devices. In the following April the ‘Ministry of Education’ ordered 400 KM-1530 multifunctionals.

Kontrax’s dealer network also contributed to the increases in sales. A dealer expansion in January 2003 led to a sale of 250 FS-1010’s and the first Kyocera Mita dealer meeting held in April 2003 resulted in even more orders, totalling 450 units of printers and multifunctionals.

The increased sales have consequently had a significant effect on Kyocera Mita’s market share in Bulgaria. The total market in Bulgaria (for 2002) was 16,109 units and of that Kyocera Mita held 4,139, which is 25.7% - the second highest of the leading document management vendors. HP holds 53.8% of the market and in third place, after Kyocera Mita, Lexmark has 5.5% of the market. Other well known brands include Oki with 3.3%, Samsung with 3.1% and Epson with 3.1% of the market.

Kontrax intends to maintain this momentum and continue to expand Kyocera Mita’s market share. The following months will see even more emphasis on its own sales team, as well as promoting these popular devices with their dealer network across the country. With such an established yet dynamic product range that Kyocera Mita offer and Kontrax’s superb team, it is no wonder that Bulgaria picked up the award this year. It is certainly an inspiration to Kyocera Mita distributors right across the globe.
